Staying one half step ahead

 

As the pandemic rages, burning through cities and suburbs around the world, I find myself yet again summoned for Jury Duty.  Hit a bit of a snag this time as they fumbled my last excuse and then knee jerked a final notice toward me.  

I called the switchboard and received a favorable//doable response.  I can attach a doctor's written excuse to the latest summons even though it states "excuse denied"... that was due to their fumbling.

I go in Thursday 9DEC21 // to complete my half step away from possible infection and doom.

Who in their right mind would enter into a building filled with people, some vaccinated, some not, during the height of a horrible pandemic.  Certainly not me.
