I have been to the Metaverse

 

And I'm not very impressed...  Decentraland is the location I visited and from what I could tell during my brief stay is that it is nothing more than a low graphic, high volume sausagefest [predominantly male avatars were present] geared toward generating cryptocurrency aka cashgrab.

I may go back.  I may mine some crypto... I don't know.  Ready Player One this was not but it looks like it may be here to stay so we may as well get used to it even if it isn't all that appealing as of this entry.
